Digitalia

July 23rd 2019

Recently, I have been working a lot on a stand up computer

This is due to a large extent to the fact that I have been 150 miles away from my studio.

Very often I have been painting with water colour and line,

Then finishing it off on basic computer art programmes sometimes older that twenty years, these being my substitute for the absence of scale.

These first two sliders are from spring this year(2019), mainly coming from scans of small sketch or note books.

The reel above contains landscape format pictures and below portrait style.

It should automatically change from picture to picture every couple of seconds, but if you click on it, it will appear on a different dark background and can be moved on using the arrows at the sides.

It also contains titles and sometimes description.

These two are the thin and the fat of the early summer notes I've been making.

I kind of always adhere to the passing of the seasons, but these are also about passing of social time.

I havent reacted to Boris yet, but it's all something we cant escape from.

As Mal Williams said "it's time to baten down the hatches"

Above & Below come from a series of drawings I made entitled "Screen Savers" with very much a computer screen in mind.

As with a fair few of these exaggerated doodles on this page, a number have moved on, some to compositions, others simply moving on another rung up the ladder
